We've carefully planned this event to keep you safe, but we're sure you'll have the most amazing day!

All tickets purchased for Pumpkin Patch are vital in our survival and supporting us in our mission to educate about farming life.

Don't Forget

Come down to the Farm to meet all your Farmyard favourites and then it’s off in search of the perfect pumpkin. You’ll choose your own pumpkin, fresh from the field, so prepare to get your hands dirty!

Once you’ve picked the perfect pumpkin, you’re welcome to take your pumpkin home with you ready to carve for Halloween. We’d love to see your spooky lanterns, so don’t forget to share your pictures with us, and be entered our pumpkin competition!

This event is pre-bookable only, so book online to secure your place, as numbers will be limited.

Please dress appropriately - this activity is outdoors and will involve walking in the fields.

To make The Pumpkin Patch event as safe and as magical as possible we're offering time tickets giving entry every 30 minutes. When you book you will be able to select your preferred session time, from 10:30am to 3pm. The last entry for The Pumpkin Patch is 4pm and the farm park closes at 5pm.

The Pumpkin Patch event 

Join us for The Pumpkin Patch event as we transform part of the farm into a rustic traditional pumpkin patch, as you explore through the pumpkin patch, select your perfect pumpkin and an unexpected October encounter!

Your ticket includes all-day farm park admission, due to the time of year many animals will be at the indoor barns, many of the outdoor paddocks and fields will be left to rest free from animals grazing.

Prices for The Pumpkin Patch are £8.95 for a child and £5.95 for adults. 

Under 1's and carers come free but will not include a pumpkin. All child tickets include a pumpkin from the Pumpkin Patch
 

If you are visiting with a free carer please bring proof of entitlement with you when you visit. Thanks!

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began our main priority has been to ensure you can visit safely and The Pumpkin Patch event will be no different. We've made some adjustments to the event to ensure there is less interaction with people and we've dramatically reduced the number of visitors to the farm each day to help with social distancing.

We won't be holding pumpkin carving at the farm but we hope you share the your designs with on and send lots of photos!

If you book online then you'll receive an email from us with your booking confirmation and tickets attached. Bring this booking confirmation with you on the day of your visit. You can either print the tickets or show them on your phone.

As this is a special event outside of our usual opening dates members and non-members pay the same price. Events like The Pumpkin Patch help us to raise valuable funds to enable Mrs Dowsons Farm Park to continue to invest in the farm. We really appreciate your support, especially after a really difficult time and we're sure you'll be delighted with the event we've planned this year.

There is ample FREE parking at the main entrance to the farm park.

What parts of the farm park will be open?                                    ↓   

The Farm Park will open as much of the farm as possible, however, due to the time of year many paddocks and fields will likely be rested, free from animals grazing. Animals will still be visible around the farm buildings and barns. The Farm Park Cafe and ice-cream parlour will be open.

On an autumn day, the majority of our animals will be keeping dry in their indoor barns. You'll be able to see lots of farm animals including the cows, sheep, alpacas, llamas, goats, calves, chickens, donkeys, emus and the horse.

Wrap up warm and bring your waterproof clothes and we're sure you'll have a wonderful time and make precious memories that last a lifetime. If we have very extreme weather we may need to cancel and we'll be sure to be in touch with you by email (as soon as possible) if this happens.

We'll have lots of delicious food and drink options available to buy on the day but you are more than welcome to bring your own if you would prefer to. We just ask that you don't eat this inside the Farm Park Cafe.

What if I can't visit because I'm self-isolating or in the case of a local or national lockdown because of COVID-19?                                            ↓   

Generally, our tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable but we are aware that there are some COVID measures that may mean that you need to cancel at short notice. Also, there may be a risk that we have to cancel if affected by a local or national lockdown. In both of these situations, we'll be in touch to discuss ways that we can exchange your booking for another visit in the future.
